Swaddlebees Fleece Wrap

A very comfortable nappy cover made from one layer of quality Malden Mills fleece with an additional layer in the "wet zone". Fleece repels liquid, preventing wetness from coming through from the nappy to clothing, but is extremely breathable and allows evaporation, helping to keeps baby's skin comfortable and cool.

Swaddlebees nappy covers are designed to give a clean, trim and stretchy fit. They are perfect for use over trim-cut shaped nappies such as Swaddlebees organic cotton velour nappies and organic cotton velour pocketted nappies, and are suitable for use over prefolded nappies. However, this wrap is stretchy enough to cover most shaped nappies. The relatively high cut leg opening allows for a wide range of baby shapes too.

Swaddlebees fleece wraps fasten with a hook and loop closure (like Velcro) and are quick and easy to put on. There are soft "laundry tabs" inside the wrap to fasten the hook and loop tabs to prevent them sticking to other items in the wash. Fleece wraps can be reused until soiled or smelly. You can rotate them with another wrap to allow you to air dry them between changes before re-susing them if they are damp.

Step 1:  Lay baby on top of wrap.  Pull the front of the wrap towards you.		Step 2:  Pull the wrap over the front of the fitted diaper.
Step 3: Bring one of the back wings over to close one side		Step 4:  Close the other side and make sure the wrap covers the entire diaper underneath.

Advantages & disadvantages A trim and comfortable fleece wrap. Soft, 'no marks' comfortable fit. Lightweight and quick drying. Aplix fastening only. Water-resistant, not waterproof, but very breathable and allows evaporation. However, if the nappy underneath gets sodden and the baby is sitting or lying in the same position for a long time the pressure can cause wicking through to the clothes (as in a candle-wick, drawing up moisture!).
Second hand value Unknown as yet.
Care Machine wash at 40ºC with other bright/dark colours for the first few washes in case of colour runs. Washing with cotton nappies causes the fleece to become covered in 'bobbles' of cotton, so wash with synthetics if this bothers you. Hang to dry, dries very quickly, within a few hours in a warm place.
