Motherease Rikki Wraps

Soft, breathable, Aplix-fastening, sized, waterproof nappy wrap. Price from £8.25
The Rikki Wrap is a popular, reliable, Aplix-fastening cover. Although slim fitting, it has a deep rise (nappy height) and is gussetted, making it a good fit over virtually all cloth nappies, whether folded or shaped. It is made from a soft brushed polyester outer side with a polyurethane laminate (PUL) waterproof inner, giving the Rikki wrap it's very soft feel. The elastic at the waist and legs fits snugly but gently.

Sizing
Available in five sizes, though many babies may only need three sizes before potty training.
Extra-Small Covers the same weight range as the Small wraps, but is designed for use over prefold or pad nappies only, and is slimmer cut for slim newborns.
Small 6lb - 12lb (2.7kg - 5.5kg)
Medium 10lb - 20lb (4.5kg - 9.1kg)
Large 20lb - 35lb (9.1kg - 15.9kg)
XL 35lb - 45lb (15.9kg - 20.5kg)

Options
Rikki wraps are available in white, soft yellow and pastel blue, or four lovely Motherease 'Eco Theme' prints, each depicting a different important wildlife habitat: 'Our Oceans', 'Rainforest', 'Wetlands', 'Savanna' and 'Asia'. Pictures of these prints can been seen here.

Advantages & Disadvantages Soft, lightweight and quick drying. Gives a neat fit. Aplix makes it easy to put on and take off, but some toddlers may take advantage of this! Perhaps, not as adjustable at the leg as it's cousin the Air Flow. The Aplix panel is quite wide and some find it appears a little rigid on small babies. Very reliable and durable.
Fits over which nappies? All but the bulkiest shaped nappies. Suitable for used with flat/folded nappies (terries, prefold).
Second hand value Good. A very well-tested and loved nappy wrap.
Care Machine washable at 40ºC or up to 60ºC. Can be tumble dried on low heat but hang drying will increase longevity. This nappy wrap hang dries very quickly as it is lightweight and contains no absorbent material. Important: do up Aplix before washing and drying to avoid damage to the other laundry.
