A simple but excellent invention, these freezer trays are perfect for freezing baby food during the weaning stages. Each tray has 6 large compartments and 12 small ones to allow you to save different amounts of baby food. Making up quantities of puréed fresh, natural foods is recommended by the Food Standards Agency because:
Using your own food is cheaper than buying commercial baby foods
You'll know what the ingredients are
Your baby will get used to eating foods similar to the rest of the family.

The Pea in a Pod Baby Food Freezer Tray has two different sized compartments. Twelve smaller compartments each hold 25 grams (at least double that of an ‘ordinary’ ice cube), which is an average single portion size for your baby – whilst the six larger compartments hold 50 grams, for when baby gets hungrier, or for a double portion of his or her favourite food!

When frozen you can empty the cubes into a storage box or freezer bags ready to be defrosted when you need them, freeing up the baby food ice cube trays to use again for the next batch of baby food, so two trays will probably be plenty. Pea in a Pod weaning ice cube trays each come with a lid to prevent freezer burn, keeps freezer odours out of baby’s food and prevents cross contamination from other food stuffs.

Finally, we recommend these trays even if you don't have a weaning baby because it is actually easy to get ice cubes out of them without breaking the trays! Available in packs of two.

We were sent a sample of this weaning pot to try and our son, then aged 5, used it for a while. His spontaneous comment from the back of the car one day was"mum, all kids should have these 'cuz they stop you spilling everything". And we think he was right!
