Real nappy advisors / agents
Why agents?
There are not many things that you buy without ever
having seen them before, so it's not surprising that choosing real nappies
can be difficult. Because only a minority of parents (albeit a growing
minority!) use real nappies and they are not readily available in the
high street, there's not much opportunity to see and discuss a range
of real nappies with a knowledgeable person. Holding a nappy in your
hands and getting chance to ask basic questions really does help in
giving you an understanding of how they work, helping with decisions
about which nappies to go for and of course seeing how lovely and soft
they are.
Who are the agents?
BabyKind nappy agents are usually mums (and some
dads) who are experienced with using real nappies. They have used a
wide range of nappies and feel passionate about offering parents an
informed choice about the nappy system they choose for their baby. An
agent can arrange to meet you to show you a range of the products that
we offer, how they are used, discuss your own requirements and the pros
and cons of the different types. If you feel that you want to go ahead
and order some nappies, your agent can do this for you too, and arrange
delivery to your home.
BabyKind agents have joined us predominantly because
they want to spread the word about great cloth nappies and because they
want to help other people get started with them. It is not our philosophy
to pressurise people into buying products, but to supply people with
the information and products that they want. Therefore you can see or
receive advice from a BabyKind nappy agent without pressure to buy as
we do not have 'built in' sales incentives etc. However, please bear
in mind that our agents do not get paid for their time but earn commission
on orders they place, so if you are advised by an agent please ensure
that you either order through them or let us know that you have spoken
to them when you place an order directly through the site. Ordering
through your agent saves you money as postage is free!
Nappucinos
'Nappucinos' are growing in popularity and are a fun way to find out
about real nappies. As their name would suggest they involve nappies
and a beverage! They involve a group of parents or parents-to-be getting
together to meet up informally to find out about real nappies or if
they are already using them to swap tips and ideas about using them.

If you are a midwife, a health visitor, run an NCT
group or other antenatal class and would like to get an up to date guided
tour of modern cloth nappies our agents would be delighted to hear from
you. Our agents have up to date kits of modern nappies and will usually
be happy to show them to interested professionals or parents. Contact

Nappy advisors in Wales needed
Waste Awareness Wales and Sustainable Wales are working in partnership
to co-ordinate the Real Nappy Campaign in Wales. The campaign aims to
promote awareness of the benefits of using real nappies. It is widely
recognised that having an enthusiastic local person with experience
of using cloth nappies and knowledge about what is currently available
helps inform local professionals and mothers about real nappies and
get them started using them. BabyKind have partnered with the Real Nappy
Campaign in Wales to recruit and support local nappy consultants around
