Imse Vimse Nappy Wraps

A wonderfully comfortable nappy cover with a reliable and versatile style. Imse Vimse nappy covers are made from a layer of leakproof material that allows your baby’s skin to breathe. There is gentle covered elastic at the back and at the legs to give a snug but comfortable fit. The wraps have soft leg gussets to give good protection from leaks, and can be used to cover all sorts of nappies (flat or fitted).

Imse Vimse wraps fasten with hook and loop fastening for quick and easy nappy changes, and the very wide but flexible front panel allows for a huge range of adjustment of the wrap's fit, depending on how the wing tabs are placed.

Imse Vimse Soft Wrap
Soft, smooth and affordable, Imse Vimse Soft Wraps are a very well made nappy cover that is very adjustable to give an excellent fit. They are made of a layer of polyester fabric with polyurethane lamination that keeps your baby's clothes dry while letting air through to the skin. These covers offer great value for money and are perfect for night time.

 

Imse Vimse Organic Cotton Nappy Wrap
Made to the same excellent standard and fit as the Soft Wrap, but covered with a single layer of 100% organic cotton jersey to give a comfortable feel. The cotton fabric does not cover the gussetted area to prevent wicking. The organic cotton covering is available in white, with this lovely Zoo print or with a Farmyard print, white or printed with coloured cotton wool balls with the phrase "Organic Material".

Of the same quality and style as the othe Imse Vimse wraps, this wrap is covered with a layer of organic cotton plush on the outside to give a super-soft and comfortable feel. The cotton fabric does not cover the gussetted area to prevent wicking.

Fox Fibre®, is an organic cotton velour that not dyed, but grows with a natural colour. The natural colours darken when washed, and the fabric is more durable than ordinary cotton. It comes in this gorgeous Mocha Stripe or Olive Stripe.

Sizing
Imse Vimse nappy wraps are available in a wide range of sizes so you can get the size just right for your baby, though most babies will only require 3-4 wrap sizes from birth to potty training. Below is a weight sizing guideline:
Premature 4lb - 9lb (2 - 4Kg)
Newborn 7lb - 13lb (3 - 6Kg)
Small 11 - 18lb (5 - 8Kg)
Medium 15 - 22lb (7 - 10Kg)
Large 19 - 26lb (9 - 12Kg)
XL 24 - 31lb (11 - 14Kg)
XXL 28/29lb+ (13Kg +)

The design of the hook and loop closure front panel gives very large adjustability of the fit of each wrap, so in our opinion many people will find there is more overlap between the sizes than the weight guidelines would suggest.

Advantages & Disadvantages soft, lightweight and quick drying. Very reliable and durable. Excellent fit over virtually all shaped nappies, including prefolds and terries. High degree of adjustability due to the wide (but flexible) looped panel on the front. Wraps of very high quality and design. Choice of the economical Soft Wrap or lovely the organic cotton covers. Only available with hook and loop fastening. Cotton-covered wraps slightly slower to dry than PUL-only wraps but still very quick to dry.
Second hand value Good. A very well-tested and loved nappy wrap.
Care Machine washable at 40ºC or up to 60ºC. Can be tumble dried on low heat but hang drying will increase longevity. This nappy wrap hang dries quickly. Do not use bleach or fabric softener.
