The classic Imse Vimse wool wrap is soft and highly adjustable. It is made from 100% pure woven and felted wool, making it perfect for those looking for the most natural nappy cover option. Wool naturally offers great breathability, helping to keep baby's nappy area cool and comfy. Wool's natural water -resistance properties make these wraps make an effective barrier between nappy and clothing, and this is easily topped up with regular use of wool cure.

The Imse Vimse soft wool wrap is ideal for babies who have sensitive or irritated skin, nappy rash or ezcema. The breathability of wool reduces the temperature inside the nappy by several degrees by allowing wetness to evaporate. This lower temperature creates a more healthy environment for the skin, allowing it to say cool and drier, facilitating healing and preventing further irritation. Imse Vimse wraps are also recommended for night time as their breathability and evaporation allow the nappy to dry out somewhat whilst in use, keeping baby's skin healthy during long periods of sleep. The wool fibres themselves also absorb moisture, adding to the overall absorbency of the wrap.

Sizing
Imse Vimse Wool wraps are available in a range of sizes so you can choose the perfect size for your baby. There is good adjustability and the sizes may fit a wider weight range than indicated here. Many babies will be fine with three size e.g. a Newborn, Medium and XL, but the range of sizes allows for greater choice. Below is a weight guide to help you choose:

Newborn 9- 13lb (4 - 6Kg)
Small 11 - 18lb (5 - 8Kg)
Medium 15 - 22lb (7 - 10Kg)
Large 20 - 26lb (9 - 12Kg)
Extra Large 22 - 31lb (11 - 14Kg)

As with all wool covers, will need regular treatment with lanolin to top up the waterproofing (every few weeks, as required). These wraps are roomy enough to have a well-boosted night nappy underneath, so are suitable for night time use. Ideal for babies with sensitive and irritated skin and ezcema.
