A mini-version of the popular Imse Vimse organic one-size nappies, these nappies are perfect for smaller babies and premature babies. To our knowledge they are the only organic nappies available in an extra small size suitable for premature babies in Europe. The newborn organic nappies will adjust to fit 4.4-13.2lb (2-6Kg). Imse Vimse also provide nappy wraps suitable for smaller or premature babies, thus catering for a significant number of babies for whom it can be difficult to find suiable cloth nappies. Suitable organic nappy wraps are available in the "premature" size, 4.4- 8.8lb (2-4 Kg) or the "newborn" size, 11 - 17/18lb (5 - 8Kg).

The design is simple and versatile. They are shaped to fit round baby, with layers of organic cotton in the main part of the nappy or in a flap-out booster attached at the front for efficient laundering and drying. There is gentle covered elastic at the legs to improve containment.

Imse Vimse organic newborn nappies fold to fit from birth to potty training. Simply fold down the back to reduce the height of the nappy. The front can also be folded down if required. The attached booster can be folded to give most absorbency where required. The nappy is designed to be fastened without a fastener. When putting the nappy on it should be layed inside a wrap and the generous front wings should be tucked around baby's waist. The rear wings are then closed around baby's middle and held in place while the wrap is fastened to keep the nappy in place. Extremely quick drying for a shaped cotton nappy, this nappy hangs to dry in only a few hours, making it ideal if you prefer not to tumble-dry.

Options

Imse Vimse form-fitting nappies are available in a choice of either 100% organic brushed cotton (flannel) or organic cotton terry.

The brushed cotton option is incredibly soft and stays soft even when washed in hard water. A Nappi Nippa can be used with the terry version if required, though the nappies will last better if they are not used.

Both styles of nappy come in the natural raw cotton creamy colour. Available singly or in packs of four.

Neat and trim when folded down, Imse Vimse are truly catering for smaller or premature babies. The generous wings allow the nappies to fit babies up to around 13lb, though they will probably need boosting at this stage or baby will need a large sized nappy. The Imse Vimse contour nappies are designed to be used without a fastener, being held in place by the wrap, and this style suits newborns well. For longer periods or for heavier wetters these nappies will likely require boosters. Extremely quick drying for a shaped nappy, making it an excellent choice if you don't want to tumble-dry, helping you to easily keep your nappy care very eco-friendly. What else will I need? With this nappy you may choose to use liners, either disposable or reusable (e.g. fleece), though they are not necessary, and you may prefer to have soft organic cotton against baby's skin. For night time use you will need to use boosters - Imse Vimse make their own boosters to use with the nappies (please see order page) though any booster will be suitable, popped under the flap-out booster.
Suggested wraps Since this nappy is held in place by the wrap it is important to choose a close-fitting, hook and loop-fastening wrap. We recommend the Imse Vimse wraps for these nappies: either the "premature" size to fit approx. 4.4- 8.8lb (2-4 Kg) or the "newborn" size to fit approx. 11 - 17/18lb (5 - 8Kg).
Resale value Expected to be good.
