The Hippychick Hip seat is a back supporting belt, with an integral padded foam shelf, developed to allow adults to carry their children naturally on their hip without the usual strains on the back.

The Hippychick hip seat is lightweight to carry around, easy and convenient to put on and comfortable to wear. Perfect for those times when your baby, toddler or young child wants to walk but get's tired after a while and wants to be carried for periods of rest. Just scoop them up and carry them naturally on your hip and pop them back down again when they are eager to go! Recommended by Hippychick as suitable for babies from 6 months to 3 years, although we used them beyond 3 years for short periods of carrying with our children.

Specifically designed to address one of the root causes of adult back pain, the seat provides a firm shelf for the child to sit on and supports their increasingly heavy weight from underneath. Instead of twisting the spine to make the hip protrude to provide a 'shelf' for baby to sit on, the back stays straight and the child is tucked into the chest on whichever side is more comfortable for the wearer.
