An all in two nappy hybrid with a choice of reusable organic cotton soaker pads or compostable bio soaker pads.
We are so pleased to have the new GroVia Hybrid all in two nappy system in stock and available for order. GroVia is a modern, reliable, one size nappy with a unique waterproof shell into which a choice of cotton soaker pad or bio compostable pad can be fitted. If the pad is wet then simply change the pad with a fresh dry one!

GroVia all in two nappies are made up of a waterproof outer shell with a choice of fastenings: poppers or hook and loop. The hook and loop fastneings have built in laundry tabs to help keep washing safe. Next to the waterproof outer is a stay dry mesh. If the outer shell is a little wet then it can be hung to dry and used with a fresh pad on the next nappy change. The absorbent part is a pad which is fixed into place inside the shell. The choice of pads are either an organic cotton soaker pad with a stay dry polyester backing as additonal stay dry support. The inserts can be completely removed and they and the nappy "shell" are fully machine washable, making them ideal for everyday use. The other choice of pad for when out and about is a GroVia bio soaker pad made mainly from sustainably harvested wood pulp fibres which after wet can be disposed of or composted.

GroVia is designed so that the outer shells can be used for multiple nappy changes. If the soaker pad is wet simply snap in a fresh one and you are ready to go! If the shell is wet allow it to air dry and use on the next nappy change. When you GroVia is soiled or very saturated then start again with a fresh GroVia shell.

Sizing
GroVia all in two nappies are adjustable with 3 sets of poppers on the front of the nappy that allow the nappy to adjust to fit from newborn baby to toddler. GroVia one size organic soaker pads will also fit from 8-35lbs.

1. Newborn/Small Infant Setting: Snap your GroVia Shell rise snaps on the lowest setting. Snap your soaker pad into the shell and simply flip the front of the soaker pad in towards baby. Fastened diaper on baby.
2. Infant Setting: Snap your GroVia Shell rise snaps on the middle setting. Snap your soaker pad into the shell. Tuck the front of your soaker pad down, while pulling the front panel up and fasten on baby.
3. Toddler Setting: Leave your GroVia Shell rise snaps unsnapped. Snap your soaker pad into the shell and fasten on baby

How many do I need
GroVia all in two system is designed to minimise the amount of washing for a reusable nappy system. Most babies can expect to go through 2-4 GroVia shells per day on average. For newborns this is likley to be higher and could be around 3-6.

How many you buy depends on how often you will be washing but a good starting point would be 6-8 shells with 12-14 soaker pads (which come in a 2-pack), which should allow for around 2 days of use.
For a full set you might consider 12 shells and around 20 soaker pads.

Options

There is a choice of either organic cotton soaker pads which can be re-used and washed after use or GroVia bio soaker pads which can be disposed of or composted after use.

An optional GroVia booster will give additional absorbency either during the day or at night.

Caring for your GroVia all in two nappies
Pre use: Organic cotton soaker pads need washing and drying 3-5 times before use. They will not be fully absorbent until after 10 washes

During use: GroVia nappies can be washed with the organic soaker pads on a 40ºC cycle. Use only a 1/2 - 2/3 of the recommended amount of detergent (for heavy soiling) to prevent build up of detergent on the fabric. There is no need to soak the nappies or wash hotter than 60ºC. The nappies and pads can be tumble dried but since the shells dry so quickly you might prefer to hang dry them or line dry them when possible.

DO NOT use petroleum based nappy balms as these coat the organic pads making them less absorbent. We would recommend the GroVia magic diaper stick!

DO NOT use whiteners, bleach, vinegar, enzyme cleaners and fabric softeners.

Summary information
A reusable one-size all in two nappy that can be used with organic soaker pads or disposable pads when required.
Advantages and disadvantages of GroVia all in two over other nappies: lightweight and quick drying. Being able to save on washing by re-using outer shell when only pad is wet will help cut down on washing. Excellent adjustability and neat fit for a one-size nappy. Will fit most babies well from birth to potty training with no need to purchase several sizes as your baby grows. Suitable for use with biodegradable disposable pads when required.
What else will I need? No liners or waterproof wraps are needed with these nappies, though you can use flushable liners if you wish to make removal of soilds easier. Nappy shells do not come with soaker pads which MUST be purchase seperately.
Suggested additional insert for night time A GroVia booster can be used to gain additonal absorbency either during the day or at night.
