This nappy from Tots Bots combines fabrics and design to give a nappy that is quite unique. Perhaps the most fist thing to say is how soft it is. The inner layers of the nappy are made from a very soft bamboo velour fabric, and this fabric stays soft with repeated washing. The inner core is made from microterry, a very absorbent, soft and 'squishy' fabric. The outer layer is made from stretchy polyester fabric, adding to the overall soft and stretchy feel to this nappy, and it is certainly aptly named.

Each fabric has been chosen for it's particular properties. The bamboo velour quickly absorbs and disperses liquid, allowing it to pass into the thirsty, yet quickdrying microfibre core. The absorbent core also folds out for even speedier drying. The polyester outer layer is designed to hold wetness into the core but allows baby's skin to breathe. Although an outer waterproof wraps is still required, the polyester covering of the nappy keeps wetness away from the wrap reducing the chances of leaks and wicking of moisture onto theclothes.

All flexitots are now version two which has an improved fit and poppers on the front which allow you to reduce the size of the nappy. This makes the size 1 fit from as low as 6lbs. and the size 2 from 10lbs (for many the size two is all you will need from birth to potty but if you choose only size 2 the you will need extra size 1 wraps to to be used on the smallest setting.

The nappy is cut higher at the leg than TotsBots' previous designs, and this, together with the multi-directional stretch of the fabrics gives a good fit and freedom of movement for baby. There is covered elastic at the legs and waist, and containment is good. The nappy fastens easily and simply with velcro at the waist with laundry tabs to fold over to prevent the laundry sticking together in the wash.

Flexitots are available in two sizes. The approximate weight guidelines for the sizes are:
Size 1 6lb - 18lb (2.7Kg - 8.2Kg)
Size 2 10lb - 35lb (4.5Kg - 15.9Kg)

Advantages & disadvantages compared with other shaped nappies Flexitots offer good absorbency and come with their own detachable booster. Close, neat and multi-stretch fit with extra sizing poppers on the front and good containment and protection from wicking. Combines the option of having a natural fabric next to your baby with the advantages of modern fibre technology. Flexitots are quicker to dry than some shaped nappies though not the fastest. You can choose to purchase two sizes as baby grows or use just the size 2 with some extra size 1 wraps.
What else will I need? With this nappy you may choose to use disposable or fleece liners to make solid waste disposal easier and reduce soiling of the nappy. You will probably need boosters for overnight or possibly as your baby gets bigger and does bigger wees. Any of our boosters are suitable. You will need outer covers/wraps.
