Econappi from Swaddlebees
*New* One-size pocket nappy with organic cotton lining. Price £16.99 including insert. Introductory Offer ~ 15% off. Only £14.44 for limited period, while stocks last.
Here by popular demand, the new Econappi from Swaddlebees combines their signature soft, plush organic cotton velour lining fabric with the advantages of the one-size pocket nappy system. Highly adjustable, the Econappi will fit most babies from birth to potty training (about 8-35lb).

The outer layer is soft stretchy, waterproof laminated polyester (PUL). Next to the baby's skin is a full layer of organic cotton velour which is very soft and gives the option of having a natural organic fabric next to baby's skin.

The waterproof layer and organic cotton layer form a pocket with an opening at the back into which the absorbent pocket nappy inserts are placed.

Econappis are supplied with their own one-size insert, made from a top layer of organic cotton velour (for quick absorption) and layers of hemp (for good, trim absorbency). The insert folds to the correct size from small to large with poppers to hold it folded into the correct position for easy insertion into the nappy. The insert can be opened out for efficient laundering and very quick drying for a natural fabric insert.

As pocket nappies, Econappis are versatile, and further absorbency can be added to meet your baby's needs for the occasion. The inserts are removable for effective laundering and quick drying. Gentle covered elastic at the leg and waist openings keeps everything inside and the leg openings are encased to further prevent leaks.

Sizing
Swaddlebees Econappis come in just one size that will adjust to fit most babies from approximately 8- 35lb. Econappis are very simple to adjust - the front of the nappy is folded down and poppered into place to give a small setting or a medium setting. The nappy is used unfolded for larger babies and toddlers.

Options
Available in a huge range of attractive colours from white, to pastels, primary colours and vibrant brights and some prints! The Econappi is available with either a hook and loop (like Velcro or Aplix) fastening at the waist. On the poppers option the waist and leg openings can be adjusted separately to give a good customized fit. The hook and loop fastening offers extremely quick and easy fastening. Please see the Order Econappis page to view pictures of the range that is currently available.

Summary information
Combining the versatility and economy of a one-size pocket nappy design with a lovely organic cotton velour lining.
Advantages and disadvantages of Econappis over other pocket nappies: very adjustable and one size fits most, so an economical way to have 100% organic cotton next to baby's skin. Although the cotton lining does not dry as quickly as synthetic fleece, it is still very quick drying as there is just one cotton layer. Ideal for those who want the economy and versatility of a one-size pocket nappy system, but also want organic cotton next to baby's skin. Cotton is more prone to staining than fleece and does not feel as dry to the touch against baby's skin. The inserts included are very absorbent and high performing and also adjust to fit from birth to potty. As with all one-size pocket nappies, Econappis may be a little bulkier than a sized nappy on newborns and may be outgrown sooner than potty training on some larger toddlers. These nappies have a neat appearance and give a trim fit at most sizes. Econappies offer a choice of fastening and are modern way to 'go organic' with your nappying.
What else will I need? No liners or waterproof wraps are needed with these nappies, though you can of course use flushable liners if you wish. The nappies are suppied with inserts that will be suitable for most babies. For longer periods or night time you will need to purhase additional nappy inserts or boosters.
Suggested additional inserts (Additional inserts may not be required for daytime) Blueberry or Swaddlebees one-size inserts are ideal, though many others will fit well, including hemp or microterry one-size inserts from Green Acre Design or Superbamboo. Have a look at our pocket nappy inserts page for more information.
Re-sale value Unknown, but likely to be high.
Care Wash at 40ºC (or up to 60ºC if heavily soiled) and hang to dry or tumble dry on low heat setting. For more details click here.
