Charlie Banana "2-in-1" nappies: should I go for the sized or one-size version?

Multi-sized or one-size nappy that can be used as a stay-dry washable pocket nappy or with disposable soaker pads for added convenience.
The hardest thing about the Charlie Banana system is deciding to go for the multi-sized version or the one-sized version. With the multi-sized you will get a really good fit at every stage, though will need to buy the size up as your baby grows, which will work out costing more. With the one-size version you will get a good fit on most babies most of the time, and will only need to buy one set of nappies to last from birth to potty training, and this will be a cheaper option.

Some parents prefer the sized nappies, as no adjustments are needed and they always give a perfect fit. This is especially true for the small size nappies: it can sometimes be tricky to get any one-size nappies to fit a low-average weight newborn as snugly and trimly as a small sized nappy.

If you think you may have more than one baby it may be a good idea to go for the sized nappies, as they will get plenty of wear and last well over the course of two or more babies in nappies. They will also allow you to have two children in nappies at the same time without 'borrowing' each others' nappies and readjusting all the time!

You can then build up your collection as you are clearer of what suits you best. The choice is very much a personal one, and varies from baby to baby and family to family.
