A cleverly designed, versatile nappy made from a layer of long loop pile cotton terry towelling (90% cotton), with an extra strip between the legs, and a lining of incredibly soft, fluffy polyester fleece covering the whole of the inside. The polyester fleece helps to keep the nappy feeling soft and dry aganist the baby's skin. The terry and fleece layers form a pocket with an opening at the front where a detachable, three layer booster is fixed and pushed into the nappy to increase absorbency. The booster can be detached for laundering, meaning that there are only two layers of terry sandwiched

together in the nappy and three in the booster, making cleaning more efficient and making it very quick drying for a shaped nappy. Gentle covered elastic at the back of the waist and at the legs gives a comfortable but snug fit to ensure good containment. Bumbles can be fastened with a Nappi Nippa, ensuring a good fit over a wide range of weights and shapes. Also available in Poppers fastening. Manufactured in the UK.

Sizing
Bumbles can be used simply as a Size 2 nappy to fit from around 15lb (6.8Kg) to potty training, following on from a Size 1 nappy such as Bimbles, Diddy Diapers, Tots Bots Size 1 or Sandys small. To use as a Size 2 nappy use with the booster inside. The nappy absorbency can easily be increased by placing boosters into the pocket as required.

The Bumble can also be adjusted to fit from birth: to adjust remove the detachable booster and reduce the height / rise of the nappy by means of two sets of poppers. One set of poppers is located on a flap just inside the pocket, at the front of the nappy. The others are inside the pocket at the back of the 'seat' of the nappy. When these are fastened together the fleece layer and terry layer at the front of the nappy 'telescopes' down inside the pocket, reducing the height of the nappy. This sounds more complicated than it is! Because the nappy is quick to dry it is a good option even when you are using a lot of nappies for a newborn and need a quick turnaround of your nappies. The picture shows two Bumbles: one poppered down into its smallest size and the other at the size 2 setting.

Options
Available in white terry with a white fleece inner. Choose between a Nappi Nippa or poppers fastening style.

Advantages & disadvantages compared with other shaped nappies: Quick to dry and good value for money, even if used as a size 2 nappy only. Easy to boost - simply place a booster inside the fleece pocket. As with all one-size nappies, bulkier than a first size nappy, though the Bumble is less bulky than the Motherease One Size on a newborn in our opinion. What else will I need? If you choose the Nippa fastening Bumble you will need Nappi Nippas, though a close-fitting wrap should hold it in place for a newborn. You will need a wrap with this nappy (see below for suggestions). You may need a booster to increase absorbency for heavier wetters or for night time (any is suitable, provided it doesn't have a stay dry layer on top) and you may wish to use a disposable nappy liner to help with removal of solids, though it is not necessary.
